Today for literacy we wrote about our opinions back in the day and about their rights.
Women can be whatever they want to be and they have their rights and it was so sexist back in the day and they should have = rights to men, and women shouldn’t be told what they’re supposed to do or be. I disagree on what men expect from women. I disagree with the saying that women should stay home and look after the kids. I mean girls couldn’t even have a say or vote back in the day because everyone thought and thought women didn’t have rights to say or get heard. The men come home to their wife saying that they are the man of the house.. I don’t think they deserve that title. Their expectations are wrong; they assume women do this and that just because of their gender.
I disagree that women should be the stay at home mums while men get to go out and have their fun while us women have to stay home to clean and look after kids. I disagree with what men say to women when they say go back to the kitchen or men are stronger than women. I think they shouldn’t have that title of (i’m the man of the house) when it should be the women who have that title because women do everything they do house work and they look after kids while their husband is at work. So womens have rights. I personally think that women do more of the work because they raise their kids, they put food on their plate and a roof over their head.
Men don’t treat women right and woman have rights. Men just think females are just there to cook, clean and raise their kids. Men back in the day just came home from work and expected a sandwich made and hot food on their plate from the females. The men in this century are no different to back in the days.
Back in the day when sports was a big thing it was normally ment for the (BOYS) I think thats stupid because girls had no rights they had to stay home look after the children and house when the boys had to go out play sports ride horses and play in the forest they got the do fun sports and they got shown on tv I think they should be able to be on tv and know people think they have always been able to do sports and now they advertise them on tvs but people still think that girls should not play sports and they should be at home.
For Te reo maori today we had to translate maori words to english words then translate english words to maori words.

On Tuesday for literacy we had to write a story about a TV show and this is what i writ.
It was a normal morning for Kathryn but then she got a mysterious call from this girl named Lucy. Kathryn picked up the phone and said “hello who is this?” There were dead silents for two seconds then Lucy finally said something “would you like to go to the Ellen show with me?” asked Lucy, Kathryn jumped up and down in tears “yes I would like to go with you” said Kathryn, Lucy replied with “OK i’ll meet you there in ten minutes”
They went to the Ellen show together and sat down in those really uncomfortable seats. When Ellen came out everyone was so excited to see her especially Lucy and Kathryn. Ellen was talking about how she was so excited to see all of us, then she had to pick two people to see who could get the most shots on the basketball hoop. She walked around and looked around to see who she would wanna pick. She walked by Kathryn and Lucy and picked them to see who could get the most shots in the hoop. They walked up on the stage while everyone clapping and cheering for them. They stood near the hoops and grabbed a ball and started shooting. This game was really competitive but when the timer stopped we knew that one of them lost and one of them won. Ellen goes up to them and counts how many shots they got, when she finished she stood up and said “the winner is………Kathryn” Kathryn was so excited she won a prize but she felt bad for Lucy so they shared.

Today in literacy, we were given a prompt and we had to write about it. Today was a picture of a dragon destroying a city. Here’s what I wrote:
I woke up to see this HUGE green three legged dragon stomping around in the city. I woke up my family and said, “THERE’S A DRAGON OUTSIDE!” Mum looked at me like I was Crazy and dad just stared into my soul like he knew I was telling the truth. “MUM JUST LOOK OUTSIDE!!” I said, mum looks outside and she screamed. Mum stayed silent for a few seconds, trying to think what the heck she was supposed to do. We decided that we would make a run for it, with nothing with us but the clothes on our backs. We ended up getting away and moving to Australia, where there are crocodiles instead of dragons!

This is my story that I made with Voice text.
This morning I woke up to see my tramp filled with snow. My car was covered in snow and my back yard was completely covered in white light snow as well. My dad asked my brother to start the car which he did. Then as soon as he started the car the window wipers turned on and wiped all the snow on the ground. When I got to school there were kids throwing snowballs at each other and my hands were frozen. Then when I got into class I saw Kathryn and she asked me if I wanted to go outside and try to build a snowman. We gathered all the snow then rolled it up in a ball but then we stopped cause our hands were very sore and they felt like they were about to fall off.
What food do you wish you knew how to make so you could eat it whenever you want?
I wish that I could make this really good food called ‘boil up’, if i could make that I would eat it every day and night.
If you could travel to any place and time and history, where would you go?
I would love to go to Paris because it is such a beautiful place and I really love the Eiffel Tower when it lights up at night.
What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do?
One thing I have always wanted to do is to go traveling around the world. I wanna see all the beautiful places all around the world.
What habits do you have that you need to break?
A habit I need to break is when I don’t do my work and when I talk and play around with my friends. Another habit I need to break is when I am too shy to stand up in front of everyone in my class and say a speech or perform a scene from a movie. Third habit is that I get anxious when I try and do something that I can’t do right but I try and try to push myself and motivate myself just to get it right.
Who has been the greatest influence in your life?
The greatest influence in my life is my dad. My dad has taught me a lot in life. He made me have great manners, has brought me up to be successful, and to be respectful to my elders. My dad has taught me how to play every sport that he has played and through those years I still play those sports. My dad has taught me everything in life, he is a great role model to me and my brothers.
